Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Labourer to join our team, supporting various construction, gardening, and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture, landscaping, and general manual work. This role offers valuable experience in site preparation, landscape maintenance, and the use of power and hand tools. The Labourer will contribute to the successful completion of projects while ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.
Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, and lawn care
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks
- Support with construction activities such as digging, trenching, and site clearance
- Use machinery such as excavators under supervision for excavation and site preparation
- Maintain irrigation systems and assist with their installation or repair
- Perform general maintenance duties to keep work areas clean and organised
- Support team members with material handling and transportation around the site
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during operations
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and basic machinery is advantageous
- Experience working with excavators or irrigation systems is a plus
- Knowledge of horticulture or gardening practices will be considered an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to site maintenance and construction processes
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
