Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detailed QA Manager who will be responsible for planning, delivery and management of the quality parameters, they will support the roles of Operations and Warehouse. The role holder is accountable for driving improvements, enabling the production of safe and consistently good quality products efficiently by engaging with other functions on site regarding quality and liaising with internal and external customers. To comply with our customer requirements and all legal food safety requirements covering three sites.
Responsibilities
- To support and assist the Head of Quality and Sustainability to deliver the sites quality and food safety objectives.
- Lead the site QA team to ensure that daily decision are dealt with in a timely manner ensuring compliance and quality. To monitor, control and coordinate QA departmental activities.
- Lead and develop direct reports(s) in accordance with The People Team policies, ensuring development of competency, training and delivery of objectives.
- Support the Quality and Food Safety requirement, ensuing that the site is compliant through the managing of daily parameters. Responsible for the communication of compliance and non-compliance.
- Monitoring of quality documentation ensure compliance, quality and authenticity.
- Carrying out traceabilities for the sites for audits and presenting them.
- Coordinate the investigations into complaints, non-confrmances and concessions to resolve the issue and prevent reoccurance.
- Support site visits and audits playing a large part within the scope of the audit to support a positive outcome.
- To be the technical lead on the daily support meetings and communicate and feedback to ensure team are informed.
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures relating to Food Safety and Quality.
- Liaise with customers and external authorities, as required
- Assist in the maintenance of full BTCGS accreditation for teh site, maintain BRCGS certification
- Assist in the maintenance of full accreditation for the site i.e. Red Tractor, RSRCA etc.
- Supporting in the installation of new equipment, ensuring compliance in factory acceptance, commissioning, and validation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality assurance management within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, safety regulations, and quality control methodologies.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes of issues.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience of managing teams.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively train staff and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
