Part-Time Cleaner – Care Home
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Saturday & Sunday (every other weekend)
Shift options: 8:00am–1:00pm or 9:00am–2:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and caring Part-Time Cleaner to join our team at our care home.
This is a regular every-other-weekend position, working 5 hours per shift on Saturday and Sunday. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors and staff.
Previous cleaning experience, particularly within a care home, healthcare or similar environment, is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning residents' rooms, communal areas, corridors and other areas of the care home.
- Cleaning and sanitising surfaces to a high standard.
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Cleaning bathrooms and other facilities.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Following cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures.
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
- Reporting any cleaning, maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate member of staff.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
- Working respectfully and considerately around residents.
About You

- Organised and able to manage their time effectively.
- Comfortable working in a care home environment.
- Willing to learn and follow cleaning procedures and guidance.
Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided.
