Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations efficiently and on schedule
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with care, ensuring all items are transported without damage
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any route issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal safety and performance
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles preferred
- Familiarity with flatbed hauling techniques and securing cargo for transport
- Strong driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and securing heavy or bulky items when necessary
