Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and guide them to their tables promptly.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes, and upsell items to enhance the dining experience.
- Monitor tables regularly to ensure guest satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and clear used dishes efficiently.
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and cleanliness protocols at all times.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables simultaneously without compromising quality or attentiveness.
- Promote a positive atmosphere by engaging with guests courteously and professionally throughout their visit.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is compulsory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with serving techniques, food safety regulations, and basic culinary practices will be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately.
- Experience in guest services or upselling will help create memorable dining experiences that encourage repeat visits.
