Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role is essential in providing a welcoming yet controlled atmosphere at various venues, including events, clubs, or private establishments. All applicants must hold valid SIA Door Supervisor certification and be prepared to work flexible hours as required.
Duties
- Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorised access and ensure only authorised individuals gain entry
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity within the premises
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism
- Enforce venue policies and manage conflict resolution in a professional manner
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary, demonstrating prompt and effective response to minor injuries or medical emergencies
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential troublemakers and uphold safety standards
- Record incidents accurately in security logs and report any concerns to management promptly
- Assist with crowd control during busy periods or special events, ensuring smooth flow of visitors
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
- Proven experience in security or surveillance roles is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and loss prevention techniques is advantageous
- First aid certification is preferred but not obligatory; training can be offered for successful applicants
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanour suitable for customer-facing roles
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events as required
