Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced full time HGV Class 2 driver delivering, collecting and exchanging skips to our demolition sites. Experience is necessary and immediate start would be desirable. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage schedules effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate skip lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Loading & unloading of skip bins to and from various sites
- Ensuring that the skip is not overloaded and correctly sheeted
- Conduct detailed daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report defects
- Maintain accurate records of waste transport and ensure paperwork is fully completed including times, signatures, weights and comments
- Ensuring correct workwear and PPE is worn/used
- Follow all company policies regarding safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 License including CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading skips.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
