Nightshift Workshop Fitter/ Technician
Evolve Supply Chain are looking for a skilled and reliable Nightshift Fitter/ Technician to join the team, maintaining and repairing LGVs, trailers, vans and cars to the highest safety and compliance standards.
The hours for this position are 44 hours per week, 4 full nights + 4 hours on a Friday. Salary in region of £47,949.63 per annum.
What you’ll be doing:
- Inspecting, servicing and repairing a range of commercial vehicles.
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections.
- Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Responding to breakdowns and vehicle defects when required.
- Completing workshop documentation accurately and on time.
- Working closely with drivers, team leaders and the wider workshop team.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards.
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in LGV Maintenance & Repair
- Time-served apprenticeship in LGV Maintenance
- Current LGV Licence
- Experience working on LGVs/trailers
- Good knowledge of transport legislation and vehicle compliance
- Team player with a flexible approach to nightshift working
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
