We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our engineering and fabrication team. This is a varied role suited to someone with strong all-round fabrication skills who is confident working across different welding processes and types of engineering work especially structural steel.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG and TIG welding across a variety of fabrication projects
- Structural steel fabrication and welding
- Fabricating and assembling components from engineering drawings
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, including sheet, plate and structural sections
- Measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling, forming and preparing materials
- Checking completed work for accuracy and quality
- Safely operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator or within a general engineering/fabrication environment
- Confident with both MIG welding
- Experience with structural steelwork and general fabrication
- Experience working with a variety of materials and fabricated products
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings
- Good measuring, fitting and fabrication skills
- Comfortable working on varied projects
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
Experience with welding of, stainless steel, mild steel, structural or heavy fabrication would be advantageous.
Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour
