Support Worker / Personal Assistant needed to work with a child with cerebral palsy in his home (Derby, Coxbench)

Rate of pay: £15.29 per hour days/ £16.47 weekends

Rota needed:
Post one:
- 2 x Fridays 4pm till 8/10pm
- 2 x Saturdays per month day shift 12 hours between 08am and 10pm
Post two:
- x2 Saturdays per month 12 hour day shift between 08am and 10pm and up to two Sundays per month 8am till 6pm
Monday and Wednesday - 7am till 10am and 3pm till 8/10pm*
Thursdays - 7am till 10am*
*Monday, Wednesday and Thursday hours are a temporary position covering maternity leave for up to 12 months.
About me: I am very bright and happy 11 year old boy and I live with my lovely family in my fully adapted home in the Amber Valley. I enjoy interaction and the challenge of making decisions for myself. I need help from my team with my daily living including personal care to include feeding, bathing and toileting. Assistance with playing, learning and accessing activities, and also with daily therapy exercises to help me develop to my greatest potential.
About you: You will show reliability, good teamwork and commitment to working with me, working on a Rota basis with weekday afternoons and evenings, weekends and possibly a night or two away. You will be working as part of a team, and will be given training by specialists and therapists to teach you how to get the best out of me.
Many shifts are working on a 2:1 basis and so we can be flexible with start and finish times, eg you may start at either 3pm or 4pm and finish at either 8pm or 10pm. Please register your interest to discuss this further.
A car driver is essential as I like to get out and about and you would need to drive my adapted vehicle.
