Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Care Assistants to join our temporary workforce, supporting residential care homes across Burnley and the surrounding areas.
We work with a range of elderly care and dementia residential services, providing quality staffing support to care homes that require reliable, compassionate, and experienced care professionals.
The Role:
As a Temporary Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing person-centred care and support to residents
- Supporting with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, and continence care
- Assisting with mobility and daily living activities
- Supporting residents living with dementia and age-related conditions
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and care teams
- Following individual care plans and completing accurate records
- Promoting independence, choice, and dignity
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
✅ Previous experience working within an elderly care, residential, nursing, or similar care setting
✅ A minimum of 6 months relevant care experience (applications without the required experience may not be progressed)
✅ A good understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
✅ The ability to provide compassionate support to vulnerable adults
Desirable (but not essential):
- A current Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
- Medication training
- Moving and Handling training
- Experience supporting individuals living with dementia
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
