About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Semi Senior to join our team in Clitheroe. This is an opportunity to gain the breadth and complexity of work you'd expect from a large firm, while working in a friendly, close-knit practice environment. Our clients range from sole traders to growing SMEs and large companies, and you'll get genuine exposure to advisory work as well as compliance — plus direct client contact from early on.
Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns
- Produce management accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Maintain and reconcile financial records using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Liaise directly with clients to build strong working relationships
- Support and learn from an experienced team, with training and progression opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a practice-based accountancy role
- Part-qualified AAT, ACCA, or ACA (or equivalent) welcome
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 a year (dependent on experience)
