We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring a hygienic workspace, assisting with basic food preparation, and contributing to an efficient kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies according to health and safety standards
- Handle waste disposal and recycling responsibly to uphold hygiene standards
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary supplies or assistance
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques
