Ground Maintenance / Gardener
M&D's Scotland's Theme Park is looking for an experienced Ground Maintenance / Gardener to join our team on a full-time, permanent, year-round basis.
This is a full-time position, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and public holidays as required by the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of ground maintenance duties across both the Theme Park and the Hotel. The role includes gardening, landscaping, general maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and other tasks required to ensure that the grounds and facilities are maintained to the highest standards throughout the year.
The successful applicant will occasionally work alongside other members of the maintenance team and must be capable of leading a small team when required. This includes allocating tasks, organising workloads, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Gardening and landscaping maintenance.
- General grounds maintenance across the Theme Park and Hotel.
- Minor repair and painting work.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented environment.
- Leading and coordinating small teams when required.
- Ensuring all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in ground maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or a similar role.
- Proven team leadership skills with the ability to supervise and organise the work of others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Please note that M&D's Scotland's Theme Park is not accessible by public transport. Therefore, applications will only be considered from candidates who are able to travel to and from work using their own vehicle.
