Maintenance Technician - Electrical Apprentice
Description:
- Solas / ETB Apprenticeship Scheme;
- Apprenticeship Programmes in place for Electrical and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning technical disciplines;
- Minimum duration of 4 years – comprising of 7 Phases – 3 off-the-job and 4 on-the-job - combination of work placement alongside attending College;
- On successful completion of the programme – awarded:
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Electrical
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Dedicated Training Advisor in ETB (ddletb);
- Qualified Mentors;
- Training day each month in our Training Centre covering skills such as BMS, lightning protection;
- Provision of all relevant Health & Safety training;
- Apprentice rates in line with electrical and refrigeration & air conditioning sectoral employment orders.
Our expectations and requirements for successful candidates entering our Apprenticeship Programme:
Time Keeping : when given a time, ensure you are on site at that time;
Jobs / Works : always know where you are working for the next day, ie contact Helpdesk
for work details the day before, not the morning of that day;
Uniform : all uniform provided must be worn, including works boots;
iPad/ Tablet : work iPad/tablet must be with you at all times, sign-in and sign-out of jobs
daily;
Timesheets : must be submitted on time, or you may not get paid on time!
Tools : have the proper tools with you for the appropriate job;
Company Vans : if you have a Company van, it must be kept clean on the inside and outside;
Travel : you will need to be flexible to make your own way to different sites on
different days;
Compliance : Health & Safety Legislation and all Company policies must be adhered to at
all times;
Open mind : you may be required to help out the different departments within the
Company;
