Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant (Level 3) to join our dedicated care team. Duties
- Deliver compassionate, person-centered care to residents, respecting their individual needs and preferences
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high standards of practice
- Develop, review, and update personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with daily activities such as medication administration, mobility support, personal hygiene, and nutrition
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Lead shift handovers, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain accurate documentation
- Support the training of new staff members and promote best practices in care delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a care home setting with a focus on senior care
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Valid driving license is preferred for supporting residents’ outings or appointments
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating electronic care management systems
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health & safety regulations, and relevant legislation
