We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Market Site Operative to join our team.
This is a physically demanding role involving the erection and dismantling of market stalls, moving equipment and maintaining a clean and safe market environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working outdoors and capable of carrying out manual handling tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Erect and dismantle market stalls and equipment.
- Load, unload, move and store market equipment safely.
- Carry out general cleaning duties before, during and after market operations.
- Keep market areas tidy, safe and presentable.
- Assist traders and market management as required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Monitor the site for safety hazards.
Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour and heavy lifting.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently without constant supervision.
- Good spoken English and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, traders and customers.
- Previous experience in a manual labour, warehouse, construction, logistics or similar role is advantageous but not essential.
