Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of skips. This role requires a reliable driver with experience in skip delivery and collections. Maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Duties
- Operate HGV Class 2 in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver skips to various locations efficiently and punctually, ensuring accurate loading and unloading
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any faults or issues
- Secure skips appropriately on vehicles to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively
- Follow all health and safety procedures during driving, loading, and unloading activities
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a skip waggon driver
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during deliveries
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail in completing documentation and vehicle checks
