Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Domestic Supervisor to lead and oversee cleaning operations within our Care Home. In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention are maintained throughout the home. You will contribute to creating a safe, comfortable and clean environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your leadership will foster a positive work environment, coordinate daily tasks, and uphold the organization’s commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and organise the daily workload of the domestic team.
- Ensure all areas of the home are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Monitor compliance with infection prevention and control procedures.
- Conduct regular cleaning audits and quality checks.
- Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and documented accurately.
- Train, coach, and support domestic staff, including new starters.
- Manage cleaning supplies and stock levels, ensuring cost-effective ordering and use.
- Ensure safe storage and handling of cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, and concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with care, catering, maintenance, and management teams.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and supervisions.
- Promote dignity, privacy, and respect for all residents.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and care home procedures at all times.
- Supervise daily cleaning operations across all designated areas, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Coordinate schedules for the domestic team, assigning tasks efficiently to maximize productivity and coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance requirements are met.
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment usage
- Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages
- Address any issues or complaints promptly, resolving problems to maintain high service standards
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies at all times

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
