Hygiene Operative (Night Shift)
Location: JZ Flowers – Dianthus
Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
- Overtime paid at 125% after 42.5 hours per week
- 15% unsociable hours premium for hours worked between 12:00am and 6:00am

JZ Flowers is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Hygiene Operative to join our night shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a fast-paced production environment where maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety is essential.
As a Hygiene Operative, you will work closely with Shift Leaders and colleagues to ensure production areas remain clean, organised, and compliant with company standards. Full training will be provided.
Job Purpose
To be a responsible member of the team and assist the Shift Leaders by working as part of a team within a given work area and carry out their tasks as given by the Shift Leaders, seeking advice from them if you are unsure about anything, and raising any potential issues.

We are looking for a capable and motivated Hygiene Operative to be a responsible member of the team and assist the Shift Leaders by working as part of a team within a given work area and carry out their tasks as given by the Shift Leaders, seeking advice from them if you are unsure about anything, and raising any potential issues.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Ensuring all production waste material and water are dealt with quickly and efficiently, sorting of Fust according to the company requirements and storing in appropriate areas.
- Sorting and recycling packaging products according to company requirements.
- Inform of maintenance problems to Shift Leaders.
- Ensure the hygiene areas are organised and housekeeping standards are maintained as per the Company policy.
- Comply with Company rules and regulations as detailed within the Company handbook.
- Helping to ensure the finished product meets our internal standards of quality and to ensure continuous improvement of the hygiene department within your given work areas.
- To work hygienically and safely by following company procedures as explained at induction or within the company handbooks.
- Good housekeeping – ensure equipment and machinery has been pre-checked, is clean and the work area is tidy.
- Help others by example and challenge "mess" – "clean as you go".
- Make sure foliage/waste on the floor is kept to a minimum and that spillages are cleaned.
- Ensure they work in a clean and safe manner.
