Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Store Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including stock management, materials handling, and shipping and receiving processes. Your approach and attention to detail will help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items to meet daily operational demands
- Assist in setting up warehouse management systems
- Handle materials with care
- Prepare shipments for dispatch by organising items for shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to maintain precise stock records
- Support warehouse management in maintaining a clean, organized workspace that adheres to health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in stock management and materials handling
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems
- Electrical or Catering Role experience is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks
