Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking during night shifts, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient team performance
- Manage food production processes, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring freshness and safety standards are met
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
- Lead by example in food serving practices, fostering a positive and energetic work environment
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow during evening hours
- Monitor kitchen operations closely, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement improvements for efficiency
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a busy culinary or hospitality setting
- Extensive food production and preparation skills with a strong culinary background
- Demonstrated team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff effectively
- Solid kitchen experience with expertise in cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving practices and customer service excellence
