Reed Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded M&E contractor to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor / Site Manager.
Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical projects safely, on time, and within budget. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor / Site Manager to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across Northern Ireland and the UK, with occasional travel required as project demands dictate.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm
Salary: Competitive and negotiable depending on experience
Location: Projects throughout Northern Ireland and the UK, with occasional travel to ROI and Great Britain where required
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Procure day-to-day materials required for site operations.
· Manage and coordinate labour resources and liaise effectively with other trades on site.
· Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and installation quality.
· Ensure all installations comply with current regulations, standards, and best practices.
· Attend regular meetings with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors.
· Manage the procurement and utilisation of hired plant and equipment.
· Prepare short-term look-ahead programmes and contribute to overall project planning.
· Provide regular progress and performance reports to the Contracts Manager.
· Carry out site-based Health, Safety and Quality inspections.
Essential Criteria
· Plumbing and/or heating trade background.
· Demonstrable knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and procedures.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Full clean driving licence.
· Willingness to travel across Northern Ireland and the UK as required by project needs.
Desirable Criteria
· Previous experience using Procore software (training can be provided).
