The Role
Based from our Leeds office, you will be responsible for:
- Managing our Customer Service, Logistics and Internal Sales teams.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of our transport function.
- Working closely with our Transport Supervisor, who oversees our Birmingham depot.
- Managing a small number of Birmingham-based team members remotely, with occasional travel if required.
- Maintaining exceptional customer service standards across the business.
- Leading recruitment, onboarding and staff development.
- Conducting performance reviews, investigations and disciplinary meetings where required.
- Ensuring company procedures and policies are consistently followed.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and support continued business growth.
- Working closely with the Directors to help deliver operational improvements.
About You
We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to take responsibility and hold people accountable.
You'll be someone who:
- Has previous management experience within a busy office or operational environment.
- Is confident managing people and addressing performance issues professionally.
- Leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed.
- Has excellent organisational skills and can prioritise multiple tasks.
- Communicates clearly and confidently with colleagues and customers.
- Thrives in a fast-moving business where no two days are the same.
- Has exceptionally high standards and expects the same from those around them.
- Wants to build a long-term career within a growing business.
Previous experience within transport, logistics, waste management or another service-led industry would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
What You'll Receive
- £35,000 annual salary.
- A genuine opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing business.
- Direct support from an experienced senior management team.
- Long-term career progression as the company continues to expand.
- Company pension.
