If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Accounts Team at London Heathrow. As a member of the wider finance control team, you will play a crucial role in in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting function by handling various tasks to support accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
This role will provide accounting support and management of the accounts receivable portfolio and is responsible for minimising credit risk, maximising cash flow, and creating long-lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Monthly billing to airlines and other key customers, raising ad hoc invoices and credit notes.
- Manage customer credit limits, controlling the credit risk and bad debts.
- Monitor cash receipts and ensure accurate posting to customer accounts.
- Obtaining all relevant financial documentation including remittances and backups.
- Ensure payments are received in time and according to agreed payment terms.
- Responding to and raising queries on time for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop customer relationships and establish effective ways of working, also actively build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels.
- Carrying out month-end and weekly deliverables and duties.
- Supporting the team with treasury management and the audit processes.
- Maintain accurate customer account reconciliations and sales ledger.
- Provide insights, data, and reporting to key stakeholders at all levels.
- Other ad hoc projects, analysis, and supporting the Finance Manager as required.

Relevant accounts receivable experience in a similar role or a recent Graduate in Finance.
- Intermediate excel knowledge, e.g. pivot tables / vlookup / data handling and analysis.
- Knowledge of mid-range accounting systems / general ledgers (WFS uses Open Accounts).
- Proactive and confident use of verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.

- To be a strong team player but also able to work autonomously and prioritise tasks.
