Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Joiner to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for creating, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures made from wood, metal, and other materials. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wooden frameworks, fixtures, and fittings with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform welding tasks to join metal components securely when required for structural or decorative purposes
- Conduct heavy lifting safely during material handling and installation processes to maintain efficiency and prevent injuries
- Apply masonry skills for constructing or repairing brickwork or concrete elements as needed on site
- Assist with roofing projects by installing or repairing roof structures using appropriate carpentry and roofing techniques
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials and equipment between sites while adhering to safety regulations
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery or tools on-site and perform basic maintenance when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar carpentry or construction role with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), welding equipment, and masonry tools
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles relevant to construction tasks
- Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and working in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: £16.17-£25.00 per hour
