- Provide clear guidance and information to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions
- Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications, inventory levels, and prescription details
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, legal regulations, and pharmacy policies during medication handling
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves, checking expiry dates, and reporting shortages
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify prescription details or resolve dispensing issues promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience working in an ICU setting or similar high-acuity environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy to understand medication effects and patient needs
- Proven ability to deliver excellent patient care with attention to detail and empathy
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare teams
- Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is a plus
