COMPLEX CARE SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Workers to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals with complex health needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living, patient care, and dementia support, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of those in their care. As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive support that promotes safety, comfort, and dignity for clients with diverse health conditions.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation to foster independence and comfort.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments, employing behavior management techniques.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and maintain detailed documentation of care provided.
- Support clients through hospice or end-of-life care, ensuring emotional comfort and physical safety.
- Operate and maintain mobility aids and assistive devices to promote safe movement and activity.
- Conduct light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Drive clients to appointments or outings in accordance with safety protocols and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care environments.
- Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration, behavior management, and dementia care.
- Familiarity with hospice care, senior care, and caregiving techniques to support vulnerable populations effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transferring clients.
- Valid driving license and clean driving record for transportation duties.
- Strong communication skills combined with compassion and patience when engaging with clients and their families.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing training in Alzheimer’s or dementia care is advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor.
