Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including café according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths for processing payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines while preparing and serving drinks.
- Assist in training new staff members on bar procedures and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and bar equipment.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
- Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- A keen understanding of food safety practices is essential.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local regulations.
