We are a large tertiary referral centre with more than 8,500 births each year across two sites, delivering a diverse range of services to our population. Within our community services, we support women and families across a wide geographical area, working in close partnership with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide safe, personalised and continuity-based care from booking through to the postnatal period.
Our sites offer specialist maternal medicine services, with level 3 neonatal facilities at the LGI site and level 2 at SJUH. We also provide choice of birthplace, including our 3-bedded alongside midwifery-led Lotus Unit at LGI, with birth pools available at both sites.
As a Community Midwifery Matron, you will play a key leadership role in driving quality, safety, and innovation within community services. Working collaboratively with obstetric, anaesthetic, neonatal and wider system partners, you will contribute to our ongoing perinatal improvement journey and champion excellent outcomes and experiences for women and families.
Leeds is a vibrant and supportive place to develop your leadership career in midwifery, offering opportunities to broaden your expertise, influence service development and shape the future of community maternity care.
