Job Summary
Deer Park Golf & Country Club is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our busy leisure and hospitality facilities, ensuring members and guests enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at all times.
Our facilities include an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, a 16-lane bowling centre, gym, swimming pool, changing rooms, squash courts, and associated public areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including reception, corridors, lounges, and toilets.
- Carry out regular cleaning of the golf clubhouse, bowling centre, gym, swimming pool surrounds, changing rooms, and squash courts.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, showers, lockers, and changing facilities.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Replenish consumables such as toilet rolls, soap, paper towels, and cleaning supplies.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely, maintained correctly, and stored securely.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Work independently and as part of the housekeeping team to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the club.
- Support deep cleaning schedules and assist with special cleaning tasks as required.
- Deliver excellent customer service by being approachable, professional, and courteous to members, guests, and colleagues.
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided).
- Good attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays where required.
Desirable
- Experience working within a leisure, hospitality, sports, or health club environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.

Working Hours
Shifts are available across mornings, evenings, and weekends. Flexibility is essential, as the club operates seven days a week.
Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour
