Event Barista — Your Baristas £14.85 per hour | Zero Hours Contract | Birkenhead, Wirral
Your Baristas is a specialist coffee events company, delivering premium barista-led experiences for brand activations, exhibitions, corporate events and press days across the UK. We're looking for an experienced, confident and professional event barista to join our growing team on a zero hours basis. This isn't a café role. This is coffee at its most exciting. Working at high profile events, representing incredible brands, and delivering a service that people remember.

What the role involves
Based at our warehouse in Birkenhead, you'll be travelling to events across the UK including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow and beyond, delivering exceptional coffee experiences on behalf of Your Baristas and our clients.
No two jobs are the same. One day you could be serving at a brand activation in Carnaby Street, the next at a corporate exhibition at ExCeL London, or a press day for a global fashion brand. What stays the same is the standard we expect and the pride we take in every single cup.
On site, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating our commercial coffee equipment, dialling in to perfection, producing consistent and beautiful latte art, and delivering a warm and professional service to every guest throughout the day. You'll assist with setup and breakdown of the coffee bar, keep the workspace clean and presentable at all times, and represent both Your Baristas and our clients with confidence and professionalism.
Overnight stays are a regular part of this role for jobs outside the local area. All travel and accommodation are always covered.
What we need from you
✓ Minimum 2 years experience as a barista, within speciality coffee
✓ Confident dialling in espresso on commercial machines and maintaining consistency throughout a full service
✓ Strong, consistent latte art skills — this is non-negotiable at the events we work at
✓ Experience handling, cleaning and operating commercial espresso machines
✓ Comfortable with manual handling of equipment including full setup and breakdown of coffee bars
✓ Willing and able to travel regularly across the UK with overnight stays as required
✓ Impeccable professional appearance at all times — you are representing our clients as well as our brand
✓ Exceptional customer service skills — warm, engaging, confident and attentive in a high footfall environment
✓ Ability to work well independently and as part of a small team under pressure
✓ Flexible availability including weekends, early mornings and late evenings
✓ Calm, adaptable and solution-focused when things don't go to plan on site
✓ Access to a reliable mobile phone and email
Desirable but not essential
✓ Previous experience working at events, exhibitions or brand activations
✓ Knowledge of filter brewing methods
✓ SCA or equivalent barista qualification
✓ Experience working with multiple roasters and adjusting for varying coffee profiles
✓ Matcha or alternative drinks experience
