We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the partnerships team. You will play a key role in working with community safety partners, statutory partners and the voluntary and community sector partners in Tamworth to deliver and support innovative multi-agency approaches to meet the needs of communities and deliver a range of partnership plans and work with the public on prevention and education of issues that affect our communities.
The person we are looking for will have the skills and experience to:
- Work to deliver a range of Community Safety and Earliest Help campaigns/educational initiatives, and events with partners using a variety of methods including social media, website, print based and face to face awareness
- Assist the team with anti-social behaviour (including youth) and environmental crime including evidence gathering, prevention, education and advice, working with Police, the public and other agencies including associated administration
- To co-ordinate our approach to domestic abuse including accreditation and support in Serious Violence Strategies including Violence against Women and Girls
- Ensure that the required financial, feedback, statutory and reporting information is collected, analysed and utilised for service delivery decision making
- Work with other directorates and agencies to problem solve emerging vulnerability, domestic abuse, criminal exploitation and ASB concerns more effectively
Knowledge of partnership working, community safety, and anti-social behaviour, and working with the voluntary and community sector is desirable. We are looking for an individual with a “can do” approach who will be able to work on their own initiative as well as in a team and who can communicate effectively with members of the Council, a range of partner organisations, and the public.
This is a home working contract and the majority of duties will be carried out at home, however, employees will be contractually required to attend site on two days per month for team meetings, 121 meetings, etc. Employees may also be required to attend a site for meetings, collaborative work or to undertake work related activities. Site attendance will constitute no more than 40% of working time and includes the contractual 2 days per month.
