Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable Laser Operator to join their manufacturing team on a permanent PM shift.

The Role
As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality components in line with production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor laser cutting machinery.
- Set and adjust machines according to job specifications.
- Load and position materials accurately.
- Monitor the cutting process and make adjustments when required.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Use measuring equipment to check dimensions and quality.
- Carry out basic machine checks and report any faults.
- Maintain a clean and organised working area.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Work efficiently to meet production and quality targets.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment.
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

- 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM PM shift
- Overtime paid at 1.3× (£19.76 per hour)
