New Milton-based plastic injection moulders BEC Group are seeking a conscientious and detail-orientated quality inspector to join our close-knit team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in inspection to grow their skills and contribute to the success of an established business.
Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be integral to maintaining the high standard of products our customers expect. You will work across the business with machine operators, production, quality and dispatch to keep standards high, and prevent quality issues arising. You will need to be able to work well with others, have previous experience in quality inspection, and be happy to maintain quality standards under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspecting moulded components at first-off, hourly, and final inspection stages to ensure conformance to drawings
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
· Complete and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality records
· Identify non-conformances and work with production and the quality department to investigate causes and implement corrective and preventative measures
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduced non-conformances
· Assist with internal and external customer audits, ensuring documentation and samples are organised and maintained
About You:
· You will have previous experience as a quality inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment
· You will have a good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and inspection techniques
· You will be familiar with inspection and quality documentation
· You will have good IT and communication skills
· You will have excellent attention to detail
