Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of each shift
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any queries or concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong serving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and bill calculations
- Excellent time management to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a lively setting
- Good organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
