The role
We're looking for an Assistant Dining Room Manager who can make excellent hospitality feel effortless: Getting the balance right between a pub, and a dining room,
What you'll bring
- Genuine warmth — you enjoy looking after people who notice and who care.
- Real knowledge of food, drink, sourcing and allergens, and able to talk about that in a normal and engaging way.
- The judgement to read a table: knowing when to chat and when to step back.
- A calm head under pressure, so the room always feels composed even when service is slammed
- An eye for detail.
- Taking everything we do seriously, but not ourselves too seriously.
- Ownership and initiative — you don't wait to be told, you spot what needs doing and follow it through
- The ability to lead by doing, supporting the team and giving useful feedback without ego
- Commercial awareness (bookings, pace, spend per head) without ever feeling pushy to guests
- A one-team mindset — kitchen, bar and floor all working as one
- Curiosity and coachability — always keen to learn more and get better
