We are looking for a temporary summer catering assistant/prep chef to help with hot food, sandwiches, preparing buffets, making cakes and general kitchen prep work in Fyfield near Oxford/Abingdon. This is a temporary position with the potential to move to a permanant position if the business allows
Hours are 7am to 1pm Monday to Friday but we would consider some flexibility with these times depending on the candidate. Extra hours may be available.
Would suit someone who is conscientious, reliable and who enjoys fast paced kitchen work in a friendly, small team environment. Some kitchen experience would be great but full training will be given. You must have your own transport to get to Fyfield although there is a bus route that runs from Oxford or Swindon.
The role provides great variety in food preparation, from cooking pies, pasties and hot breakfast rolls, making sandwiches, baguettes and salads to baking homemade cakes and preparing large buffet platters. Training on how to present and prepare all aspects of our menu is provided throughout.
There is also the option to assist with deliveries for any interested candidates with driving experience.
