Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness at a Southampton‑based sports facility. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, reliable, and committed to creating a hygienic and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This role is suited to someone who can work independently and consistently during set afternoon hours.
Hours
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 3pm to 5pm (12 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise changing rooms, toilets, reception areas and communal spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of high‑traffic sports areas
- Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum designated areas
- Empty bins and restock supplies
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures
- Report any maintenance or safety issues
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial and domestic cleaning is preferred but not essential as support will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
- A positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards in busy environments,
- Driver with access to own car preferred

Pay: £12.71 per hour
