Tredx Transport are looking for reliable, professional and experienced Self-Employed Trade Plate Drivers to join our growing vehicle logistics network.
This is an exciting opportunity for drivers who enjoy working independently, travelling nationwide and providing a professional service to customers.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of vehicles between dealerships, leasing companies, auction sites, storage facilities, collection points and customer locations.
The Role
As a Self-Employed Trade Plate Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Safely collecting and delivering vehicles nationwide
- Using trade plates correctly and in accordance with current regulations
- Carrying out thorough vehicle checks before and after each journey
- Recording and reporting any existing or new damage
- Maintaining accurate mileage and vehicle movement records
- Communicating clearly with our operations team throughout each job
- Keeping customers and collection/delivery points updated where required
- Ensuring vehicles are delivered safely, professionally and on time
- Taking care of vehicles at all times and maintaining a high standard of customer service
- Following all relevant road traffic, health and safety requirements
- Managing vehicle movements efficiently and responsibly
- Working independently while maintaining regular communication with the Tredx Transport team
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for drivers who are:
- Experienced in Trade Plate Driving or vehicle logistics
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have a clean or satisfactory driving record
- Professional, reliable and punctual
- Confident driving a wide range of vehicles
- Comfortable travelling nationwide
- Able to work independently and manage their own time
- Excellent communicators with a strong customer service approach
- Careful and respectful when handling customers’ vehicles
- Self-motivated and organised
- Legally able to work as a self-employed contractor
Previous trade plate or vehicle delivery experience is preferred, but we will consider drivers with relevant professional driving experience.
