We're recruiting for a Marine Technical Sales Executive to join a well-established and highly respected marine equipment manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative products supplied to boat builders, distributors, marine professionals and leisure sailors throughout the UK and internationally.
This role combines technical knowledge, customer support and sales development, making it ideal for someone with a background in marine equipment, boatbuilding, chandlery, sailing, rigging, marine engineering or technical marine sales.

This is a specialist role within the marine industry.
To be successful, you should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Marine equipment or deck hardware
- Boatbuilding or yacht manufacturing
- Marine engineering
- Chandlery or marine retail
- Sailing, rigging or racing yachts
- Commercial marine operations
- Technical sales within the marine sector
Whilst we appreciate applications from candidates with strong sales experience, this role is unlikely to be suitable for applicants whose experience is exclusively within non-marine sectors.
The successful candidate will be expected to understand marine customers, applications and terminology and be comfortable discussing technical products with boatbuilders, distributors, marine professionals and boat owners.

The Role
As a Marine Technical Sales Executive, you will become a key point of contact for customers, distributors and trade partners, providing technical advice, preparing quotations and identifying opportunities to grow sales.
You will help customers select the right products for their applications whilst building long-term relationships across the marine sector.
The role offers a mixture of customer interaction, technical support, account development and business development activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales support to customers, distributors and OEM partners.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and online channels.
- Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities.
- Advise customers on product selection and application.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, boatbuilders and trade accounts.
- Support new business development opportunities across the marine sector.
- Manage customer activity and sales opportunities through the CRM system.
- Conduct customer visits across the South East and wider UK when required.
- Represent the company at marine exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.
- Work closely with technical, operations and customer service teams.
- Assist with product launches and market development initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marine products, industry trends and customer requirements.
