The role of a Plater/Welder at SCH Site Services is a factory based role involving a varied workload. As a Plater/Welder Fabricator you will be a representative of SCH Site Services and will be expected to adhere to the company expectations of behaviour, dress code and standards of work. You will be required to have experience and knowledge of Structural Steel Fabrication. The standard working hours are 44.5 hours per week. There will be opportunities for training and development within the role.
Main Duties involve:
· Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
· Measuring and marking out plates and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling and assembly.
· Operating hand held plasma cutting machine.
· Cutting slots/holes in metal and drilling.
· Use of cranes for moving and assembling fabrications.
· Operating hand-controlled machines.
· Tacking & welding fabricated parts together.
Work remotely
This role is initially for a 6 period but there may be potential to extend depending on workload.
Pay: £18.00 per hour
