In this energetic role, you will be hands-on with a variety of groundworks, assisting with site preparation, excavation, and general site maintenance. Duties
- Assist with site clearance, including removing debris and preparing ground surfaces for construction activities
- Operate basic machinery such as mini diggers, dumpers, or rollers under supervision
- Support excavation tasks by digging trenches, foundations, or drainage channels according to project specifications
- Help with setting up site safety barriers, signage, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Carry out general maintenance tasks around the site to keep the work environment safe and organized
- Collaborate with team members to load and unload materials and equipment efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols diligently and report any hazards or incidents immediately
Requirements
- Previous experience in groundworks or construction environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction site
- Multiskilled capabilities such as basic carpentry, paving, or concrete work are advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various roles on-site
- Must have driv license and transport.

Pay: £15.36-£22.85 per hour
