About the job:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is available to work evenings and weekends and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment. *Please note - This is not a summer position and will involve working part time after July*
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and approachable manner
- Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately
- Replenish stock and ensure the shop floor is well-presented at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store
- Assist with deliveries and stockroom organisation
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently
- Work as part of a team
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience advantageous (but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills
Working Hours
- Evening shifts
- Weekend availability required (Saturday and/or Sunday)
- Additional hours may be available during busy periods
