About Stone Fired Pizza
Stone Fired Pizza has been serving customers at Hartlepool Marina for three months, and we are now looking for experienced and enthusiastic Team Members to join our growing crew.
We want people who are passionate about great food, excellent customer service and working as part of a busy hospitality team.
The Role
As a Team Member, you will help deliver a welcoming, efficient and enjoyable experience for every customer. You will support food preparation, drink service, order taking, cleaning and general restaurant operations.
You will work closely with the wider team to maintain high standards during both quieter periods and busy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Recommend pizzas, sides and drinks.
- Assist with preparing fresh ingredients and stone-fired pizzas.
- Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety requirements.
- Handle payments and complete transactions accurately.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Keep the kitchen, bar, counter and dining areas clean and organised.
- Restock ingredients, packaging and service items.
- Work calmly and efficiently during busy periods.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
- Complete opening, closing and general cleaning duties.
- Support other team members and contribute to a positive working environment.
Essential Experience and Skills
Applicants must have:
- At least 12 months’ relevant experience in hospitality, food service, bar service, retail or another customer-facing role.
- A friendly, professional and approachable manner.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
- A reliable and punctual approach to work.
- Basic numeracy skills for taking payments and handling transactions.
- An understanding of food hygiene standards or a willingness to complete further training.
- The ability to follow instructions and respond positively to feedback.
- Availability to work a mixture of evenings, weekends and closing shifts.
Experience in a restaurant, takeaway, café, bar or fast-paced food-service environment would be particularly beneficial.
