We're looking for someone to join us and help make a real difference! Could that person be you?
Our Falls Response Service operates across Worcestershire and our dedicated team provides an On Call Service responding to non-injured people who have fallen at home. We are contracted by the NHS to provide this service.
You will be providing a valuable service to people and communities within Worcestershire. You will be the first point of contact for all “fall and no response calls” from Alarm Monitoring Centre operators where no injury to the person is suspected.
You will be working from the comfort of your own home and respond to calls directed to you, working as part of a team you will attend the residence of our customers and use specialist equipment to help lift them and provide any minor aftercare required.
What are the shift patterns for this role?
This role operates on an on‑call basis, with Falls Responders covering 12‑hour on‑call shifts as part of a planned rota. Over a 3-week period, you will have 14 on-call shifts.
During each 12‑hour on‑call shift you will be expected to respond to falls alerts, attend incidents, and manage each call through to resolution. While on call, you will work a minimum of 4 hours per shift, although this may be more depending on service demand. The contractual hours for this post are 20 hours per week.
You will be paid your hourly rate for all time spent actively working and will also receive an on‑call payment for the period you are on call.
A high degree of flexibility is required, as the on‑call rota provides 24‑hour cover, Monday to Sunday, including evenings, overnight periods, weekends, and bank holidays.
What are some things that we need from you?

The ability to risk assess situations and mitigate problems where possible.
Experience of working in a care giving or supporting role would be preferred.
A professional, friendly, empathetic manner, demonstrating patience and understanding to the needs of the customer.
