An established and highly respected electrical contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its growing commercial team.
With over 45 years of industry experience, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical installations and design & build solutions across the UK. Known for investing in its people and maintaining a long-serving workforce, the company continues to secure repeat business across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role
As an Electrical Estimator, you'll play a key role in the pre-construction team, producing accurate and competitive tenders while working closely with commercial, operational and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Produce material take-offs and labour calculations.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify value engineering opportunities.
- Produce cost plans and tender reports.
- Liaise with internal teams throughout the tender process.
- Ensure tenders are submitted accurately and on time.
About the Projects
You'll be pricing projects across sectors including:
- Education
- Healthcare
- Industrial
- Commercial
Projects range from small works through to multi-million-pound electrical installations, including both traditional and design & build schemes.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within an M&E or electrical contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience pricing commercial, industrial, healthcare or education projects.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
