Engineering Resource Manager
Job Types: Full Time. Permanent. Office based.
Working hours: Full Time = 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 08:45 am - 17:15 pm.
Salary: starting at £29,700 (full time) which is negotiable for experienced candidates

At Incident Management Solutions (IMS) we specialise in helping our clients deal with the 'vehicle journey’ after a motor incident. Whether it be Repair, Total Loss, Cash-in-lieu or just Engineering.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and allocation of engineering resources, ensuring workloads are effectively balanced and our teams are supported to deliver a high-quality service in line with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
This is a varied role combining resource planning, people management and operational support, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and getting the best from their team.
You’ll also:
- Allocate and redistribute work on a daily basis
- Monitor workloads, utilisation, productivity and overtime.
- Manage attendance, absence, annual leave and staffing requirements.
- Manage Engineering inboxes and respond to operational queries.
- Act as a referral point for valuation queries and secondary review of recovery charges.
- Identify resource issues and reallocate workloads or resources where necessary.
- Maintain accurate staffing and management reports and ensure HR systems are kept up to date.
- Work alongside HR on absence, disciplinary, capability and grievance matters.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in organising and managing self and others
- Experience in delegation, planning and reporting
- Ability and willingness to learn and develop
- Knowledge of Microsoft and I.T packages particularly Excel
It would be great if you had:
- Knowledge of motor vehicle incident management and how this can affect vehicle repair claims
- Previous management experience
- Ability to resonate with team members
- Knowledge of performance metrics
