Fish House Operative (Job Ref No. FH11)
We are currently looking to add to our fish house team (ornamental trade). Successful applicants will need to be able to work well in a team, have good communication skills and work efficiently in a fast-paced warm environment. Candidates will be expected to work variable hours should unforeseen delays occur in livestock transit. We are looking for self-motivated, positive and organised people, who are reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic with good time management.
Job description will include:
- Fishkeeping Experience (preferred, but not essential)
- Catching fish for movement and sales (attention to detail and counting accuracy)
- Feeding fish
- Preparing aquariums for new arrivals
- Acclimatising new shipments
- Preparing packing materials for daily use
- Packing in preparation for dispatch
- General workplace husbandry
Must be flexible as hours can vary.
Please note this position is within the ornamental aquarium trade, not the food industry.
Rural location, so own transport preferred.
