Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Practitioner to join our team within a new children's home environment. The successful individual will play a vital role in the formation of a team and delivering high-quality care to the children. Ensuring their wellbeing, happiness and comfort are prioritised. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your leadership skills, care expertise, and communication abilities to make a positive difference in the lives of our children.
We are registering a Dual home and therefore working across two homes will be required, CV3 and CV4 (Around 7 minutes apart)
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team to ensure the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each child’s needs
- Provide direct care and support to children, promoting independence and dignity at all times
- Develop, review, and update individualised care plans in collaboration with children, families, and healthcare professionals
- Oversee daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with medication management and monitor children’s health conditions
- Coordinate activities and social programmes to enhance children's quality of life
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and child progress using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with children, families, team members, and external professionals.
- Supervise team members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Qualifications
- Level 3/4 in residential childcare (ENGLAND)
- Proven experience in senior care or working within a care home setting
- Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and team members
- Knowledge of care plans development and implementation
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or attending external meetings or appointments
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations in a care environment

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
